Welcome to Hello Retro Design.
We are a Sussex-based husband and wife team designers Raphy (Raphaella Reilly-Szostak) and Kan(Kan Lailey). We both have backgrounds in music, art, photography and retail and wanted to work together using our creative skills. We set up Hello Retro Design in 2015, our inspiration was to take handpicked Mid Century furniture and professionally restore pieces to their original beauty with a sprinkle of modern design ideas that make each piece unique.
With a national network of people sourcing furniture, we quickly established a busy practice recycling, restoring and reusing our Mid Century finds. We then moved on to develop our own range of new, contemporary colourful furniture to sit alongside our Mid Century Pieces.
Our contemporary range Ace & Reno includes desks, storage, sideboards and side tables.Using ethically sourced wood and durable high quality HPL laminate these pieces are colourful and bespoke.
We wanted our customers to have the option to choose their own colours from our laminate ranges to suit their interior designs.
We love working with our customers and helping them choose the colour and finish for their bespoke furniture. It means they’re able design a totally unique, one-of-a-kind piece that’s special to them.
